BACKGROUND

I started working as a Spanish Teacher at AT&T Mexico in 1995 teaching Spanish as a foreign language to CEO's, executives and families. Simultaneously, I taught at other companies such as Wal-Mart México, Kmart, Lufthansa, Laurate University, Micheal Page amoung others. In 2005 I started working as a Spanish teacher at CEPE-UNAM (Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros, Polanco-Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) teaching from level one to advanced as well as giving conversation classes and different workshops, especially those realated to Mexican films. I have participated as an examinator of the CELA exam (Certificado de Español como Lengua Adicional), UNAM. In 2009 I started teaching students from abroad at the MBA program at IPADE (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas). In 2012 I was co-author of the Spanish text book “Tengo algo que contarte” UNAM, to improve past narrations for Intermediate level students. One year later I worked again as co-author of the Spanish text book “Español para la vida cotidiana” UNAM, for students of Basic level. In 2007 I worked as an examinator for the ECELE exam (Examen de Certificación de Español como Lengua Extranjera) at CENEVAL (Centro Nacional de Evaluación) based on the evaluation of oral skills of all the Spanish levels. In November 2013 I was invited by CENEVAL as an active member of the Technical Council for the Certification of Spanish as a Foreign Language. September I was invited by UNAM to give the course “Introducción a la interculturalidad,” subject which is part of DIPELE. Diplomado Inicial para Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera. This year I have been working with UNAM, Universidad de Salamanca and Instituto Cervantes on a project call SIELE, Sistema de Español como Lengua Extranjera, an international certification exam all over the world, participating on the creation of items.
